Forgiveness
It makes you feel your heartbeat
It makes you feel almost
Too human for your liking
You look at yourself very differently
Why is it so hard to accept
When God gives you another chance?
Why is it so hard to understand
That I serve a redeeming God?
How do I move on from what I did?
Why did He choose to forgive me?
What reason does God have to forgive me?
I need forgiveness, but I don’t deserve it
I can’t possibly have earned it
But I got it anyway.
I have forgiveness in my heart.
I don’t have to dwell on my past shame.
That’s not for me to carry anymore.
